Our office is located at 203 - 920 Hillside Ave in Victoria, BC. The space is flat to entry, has an elevator, single-stall bathrooms. There is a waiting room before the main office.
We offer sessions virtually through our JaneApp booking system.

Our process starts with a free, 20-minute consultation (video or phone call). In that appointment, you can ask your potential counsellor questions and they will tell you about how they work. Afterwards, you and the counsellor collaboratively decide whether or not to start sessions.

You can complete the individual counselling form, or check to see which counsellors have immediate availability and book directly with them.

We operate on a sliding scale for all clients. Clients select their session fee based on household income and other financial barriers/privileges.
Fees range from $100 - $250 per 50-minute session and counsellors cannot guarantee fee availability below $150.

At Selkie, we are Registered Clinical Counsellors (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC). Most insurance policies will cover our services, but it is up to you to check with your provider

We can accept e-transfer or credit card payments.
We ask that each client keep a credit card on file as a back-up payment.

Our office is located at 203 - 920 Hillside Avenue in Victoria, BC.
There is free parking behind the building, off of Wark St.
Major bus routes stop nearby on Hillside Ave, Quadra St, or Douglas St.
The space is flat to entry, has an elevator, and single-stall bathrooms. There is a waiting room with snacks, tea, coffee, and water available. Note that there are other practitioners working in other attached offices to the waiting room.

You will create an account in our booking system, Jane App. You will choose how frequent you want reminder emails, and will always be emailed by the system 30-minutes before your appointment time with the link to join the call.

That is up to you! This can always be discussed with your counsellor.
Generally, it’s best to start with 3-5 sessions closer together (weekly or every 2 weeks). From there, many folks space out to every 3 or 4 weeks.

No, currently none of our counsellors work with couples or do relationship counselling.

No, currently none of our counsellors work with children.
Clients must be 19 years old or older to access services at Selkie Counselling.

We primarily work with folks in BC, but can also work with people virtually who are located in Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Newfoundland and Labrador, the Yukon, Nunavut, and the Northwest Terriroties.
